Lighting homework

This is a photograph I took outside. The focus is drawn to the highlights area as it is the brightest and the tones of the picture are lighter in this area. The shadows consist of the trees and the fence leaving the mid tones as the other areas of the image.

This is a photograph I took a few months ago it is soft lighting, drawing the light in at the start of the sun sinking.

This photograph I took early today, I adjusted the exposure on it so that it looks black and white, the attention is brought to the hard light of my face sowing the darker shadows.
