Unit 26 Assignment 2 Explain how the Hollywood studio system works, using the audio track on my blog to help you. You need to discuss who the big conglomerates are that own the studios that are members. Be specific about who the members of the appeals board were, and why this would be a bad thing for some film producers in Hollywood. Discuss that the MPAA is accused of giving more support to studio productions than to independents, and use quotes and directors that have discussed this, then debate whether the MPAA works to support ALL film makers or just some. Also write about how the MPPA and its members seem to be powerful studios or cinema chains, and why this would be a bad thing for some film producers in Hollywood. I like the tone of your article, it’s funny, but you will need to add some quotes from people that support the MPAA, you can write underneath how much you disagree with these quotes but we still need to have them in the article. In your conclusion, do you think the industry is right to work closely with the MPAA?
